Bagel Institute has two types of users: “teachers,” a who have the ability to create classes, ask questions of their classes, and receive questions from the students in their class; and “students,” who have the ability to join classes, ask questions of their teachers, and receive questions from the teachers in their class to gauge their understanding of material.

As a user, you may create classes as a teacher or join classes as a student. When a student asks a question, answers a question, or otherwise inputs information into a class, their identity is associated with this information, regardless of the anonymity settings of the class. Depending on the anonymity settings of the class, a student’s identity may not be revealed to classmates, the teacher, or both. We make a “best effort” to anonymize student identities when the class’ settings are such, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so in all cases.
